Hello, my name is Bella, and I'm an alcoholic
Well, it was bound to happen. I had my first taste of sangria last night (much to my mom's dismay) and spent the rest of the evening trying to sneak a drink. We were next door hanging out with Roxie, May May and Sparky (and their moms). Margie put her drink down to go get bug spray, and I snuck over to get as much of the sweet nectar as I could before anyone saw me. I got in trouble, but it was delicious. I need to hang out with Margie more.

Graduation!!

uh yep, that's right. I'm a big bad advanced class graduate from the esteemed college of petsmart. But it was not without some stress--I was a little off on some of the tasks and had to do them over, but it was just because I was so excited to see my trainer Amy. But the best news is that I passed, and I am now the coolest dog on my street.
Here's me and my friend Boo..his dad said he was fixed, but he always let me know he was still a man.
And HERE is one of my new BFFs Gracie. We ate dinner at Gracie's house this weekend, and it was so nice to finally meet up with someone who really understands what it's like to be a chihuahua. Gracie is pure black except for a white front paw, and is just SO cute. We had fun, after a few minutes of fighting. It's all good.

Guest Blogger--My Mom, Lisa
Bella decided to let me take control of the keyboard tonight and I thought I would share some very valuable lessons I learned this weekend at my 20-yr High School (GO ROUGHERS!) Reunion. I know...many of you thought I was only 26, but I am in fact old enough to be going to my 20 year reunion. So here goes:
1) Set your expectations low. My main goal for the weekend was to SIMPLY walk away feeling like I looked better than ten people. That's it...I look better than ten people and I suddenly feel so much better about myself. Well, I'll just say that not only did I look better (wardrobe, hair, skin and nails counted) than ten people, but more like 30 people. Trust me...no matter who you are, you will always look better than at least ten people at your 20 year high school reunion.
2) Anti-aging cream. Use it. Abuse it. Drink it. Take the jar to bed with you and put it under your pillow. Just trust me on this. Go to the cosmetics counter, get some advice and cough up the dough. Good skin goes a long way...and can make you look better than ten people.
3) If you walk into a room and people think you're someone else, just go with it. They thought I was someone who was prettier, more popular and all-around more fun than I was in high school. They all seemed just a tad bit disappointed when I told the truth. hehe.
4) Nothing feels better than knowing what you're going to wear days in advance. Now I will admit...I had some wardrobe demons try to mess me up 10 minutes before I left, but overall I felt pretty good about it. The shoes were amazing and the blouses were just 'flowy' enough to make one think there was actually a skinny person underneath there. Ha. Again, trust me on this. I actually just received an email from someone tonight who said I was HOT. Ok, well, it was from my friend Julianne, and she was saying it in a 'best girl friend' kind of way, but I'm just saying...
5) The most important accessory...confidence. Wear it well.
6) Most everyone will be happy to see you, especially if you're working the registration table and you're the first person they see. Even the girl who wanted to beat me up in Junior High was THRILLED to see me and gave me a huge hug. Reunions are overall pretty fun. Go to yours. You'll regret it if you don't.
7) And the last thing I'll say is that at the end of it all, just pack it up and go home and get kisses...in whatever form they take. That special someone, your dog (BELLA!!!), 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream, bubble bath, DVR'd episodes of Sex and the City...whatever makes you happy. Do it. You'll need a little pick-me-up after seeing your major crush all bald and chunky and selling women's shoes at JC Penneys.
Here's a picture of my class on Friday night, Max's Garage in Muskogee. Those of you who know me won't be surprised one bit to find me front and center. :) And for those of you wondering about Bella's advanced class graduation, AKA Canine Good Citizen certification, AKA PhD in Dog Obedience, she barely passed and I will post pictures tomorrow.

Fireworks!
OH--and big news, my test for becoming "canine good citizen" certified is tonight so pray that I remember everything I'm supposed to do!
But first, I have to talk about my very first 4th of July as a member of the Roth/McMillan family. Mom and I went down to Muskogee for the evening, had hamburgers that Baba made (well, I didn't get one, but I did get to smell them and they looked delicious), and then went outside to watch the fireworks. Mom put out a blanket for me to lay down on, but I was too excited to lay down! She said that we might need to go inside if I got scared, but I'm a big girl and LOVED the fireworks! Even the 'homemade' loud ones that the neighbor kids set off didn't scare me. I thought it was fun, and I can't wait until we get to see them next year. (the picture is of me watching the fireworks!)
And here's some pictures from this summer!

I LOVE BASEBALL!!!
I never knew I would love baseball so much! Mom got me a t-shirt with my cousin Parker's number on it, and we traveled down to Muskogee to watch his game with mimi, baba, Becca, Emmy and Pam (Grammy). It was so fun...lots of good morsels to pick up on the ground, and lots of attention from all kinds of strangers! Here are a few more pics from the evening...

Mom didn't let me get a paw-dicure.
I begged. Literally. But she said I can get a pawdicure only when I graduate from the Advanced class. Something about her having to wait until she was 10 to get her ears pierced, and that we don't always get what we want when we want it...I don't know what she was saying, I just was mad that I wasn't going to have hot pink nails for my graduation pictures!
But the good news is that I GRADUATED!!! It was so good to be back with my little friends. Especially Millie (whose real name is Mildred Rose...just another tidbit I found out tonight!) because her parents had tickets to the Daughtry concert 2 weeks ago and she didn't get to come to the last class. (my mom was SOOO jealous because she loves Chris Daughtry, whoever that is) We were so glad to see each other, (Millie is the other dog above, in the cap, isn't she cute?) and played with our other little friends in the class...Shiloh, Hook 'em and Molly.
AND--I learned some new tricks...wave bye bye, take a bow, play dead and crawl. I'm still working on them because they don't really make sense to me yet, but I DO have a mean 'bye bye' already!
PS--Trainer Amy is engaged!!! I hope she needs a little black and white flower girl. :) Congratulations Amy--I'll miss seeing you these next few weeks, but looking forward to the Advanced class!

Sadness in the Roth Household
Well, sadness for me, anyway. Mom came home from lunch with Aunt Lacey to tell me that graduation was cancelled. Trainer Amy called very sick, so it's going to be NEXT week *whine*
So to make up for it, mom took me to LaFortune Park...oh my rawhide! It was amazing...so many new smells, so many new people. Mom said I acted like a woman who has walked into Sephora for the first time (Mom says to write that Sephora is a huge awesome makeup store where you can try stuff and get totally taken in while you shop for the perfect shade of red lipstick). I could NOT be bothered while I sniffed out the park, so mom's idea of working on our training went out the window. I did a few things, like sit and stay, come, but COME ON...those are easy. So I probably got in trouble, and I'm probably going to have to do more trips to the park until I start to *listen* to mom. Blah blah blah...parents just don't understand what life's all about.
Bye everyone--there's a squeaky toy that has my name on it...and then it's off for my morning snooze.

HELLO!!! WOOF!
Hi everyone...I just thought it was high time I let you all in on what my life is like. I have LOTS to say, and finally, my brilliant thoughts will be made known! :)
Today is a big day...I am graduating from Intermediate School tonight! WOW...who knew just three months ago I would go from being Bella Bin Laden, to Bella Cum Laude. So exciting. I'll have my mom take some pictures tonight and post them so you can see all my friends in class. I LOVE going to school. My personal trainer's name is Amy, and she is the coolest thing ever. She said I was doing so well on my 'heeling'...my mom had tears in her eyes when she said that, not sure what that's all about. All I know is, I like staying close to mom when we're out and about, and she gives me a treat for staying close. Why would I NOT want to do that??
I played with Roxie this morning, my all-time BFF. She's so fun...we run around and sniff and wrestle...all before 7:30 am. Then I come in, eat a little of my delicious food and go to sleep on the couch.
I'll write more later...I'm nodding off....sleepy...dreaming of liver treats and peanut butter...mom is so cool...*snore*...
